Yak Trax

I had never seen these before until out shopping in the middle of a bloody blizzard on Saturday! A lady came into a shop from the snow storm outside and bent down to take something off her shoes. Being a nosey bugger i approached her and asked her what she was doing. She showed me these very strange contraptions called Yak Trax, and told me buying them was the best money she had ever spent!
I have someone very dear to me who has gone arse over tit on numerous occasions over the last couple of weeks whilst on their way to work wearing leather soled shoes. These Yak Trax can be worn over any shoes and will give you the confidence to walk on icy surfaces, just remember to take them off when you go indoors!

Fivefingers

The Vibram Fivefingers are a great pair of training shoes. I am yet to get myself a pair but i have lots of friends who swear by them. The sprint shoe is the most versatile, and can be used for light trekking, canyoneering, running, fitness training, martial arts, yoga, pilates, sailing, kayaking and surfing . I know they look a little freaky, but i like them!!

Knomo Laptop Bag

There are some really hideous laptop bags around, but I think I have found a great looking one!

The Knomo bag is super light and super slim. It has a quilted material exterior with soft leather trim, a retractable handle, adjustable strap and outer pocket for cables!

Very Chic!

Religulous

Religulous is a bloody brilliant documentary film!

It is written by and stars the comedian Bill Maher. He examines the presence of religion in many of the big stories of recent years from Muslim riots over the cartoon, born-again Christians in the white house and Scientology in the birthing room.

Throughout the film he meets many different religious leaders, and questions them on their beliefs and practices in the most fantastically comical and clever way, allowing them to tie themselves into all sorts of knots, genius!!

I am not a fan of organised religion, i think it turns families, neighbours  and countries against each other in the name of something that has never been proven, which is fucking nuts in my book!

I can not impress upon you enough how good this is, you have to watch this film NOW!!

Tokyo Dreamer Camera Strap

Why have the strap your camera comes with, it not only tells everyone what camera you have, it is also not particularly pretty! I have found these gorgeous straps called Tokyo Dreamer , in berry red, butter bronze and sky blue! They have a little removable pocket for your film or memory card, adjusts to a total length of 4.5 feet, and are strong enough to hold an SLR, DSLR and their large lenses! This a great looking, functional product!!!

All-in-one sleeping bag

This is called the MusucBag and is an all-in-one sleeping bag!! It has been around for a few years, and this is a second generation one! Fantastic for festivals, camping, or just lounging around! I have checked the holly tree in the garden, and its full of berries, so according to the ‘old wives’ its going to be a frigging cold winter and i am going to have to get  me  one of  these. Not cheap at £89 but i think its a must have, i will keep mine in my car, as if you knew what i drove you would realise the chance of it breaking down is quite high, and i do not want to be found the next day frozen to the bloody steering wheel, not a good look !!!!

Hummingbird

A few years ago i had an invisalign brace, after which i had to have a permanent retainer fitted ( this a thin metal wire fitted at the back of the teeth to keep them in place ). Flossing these teeth therefore became virtually impossible until i came across the Hummingbird Power Flosser and Pick!

This product is designed to clean between teeth and gums whilst vibrating to gently massage those gums. It has been clinically proven to improve the health of your gums, and to top it all, it is far less messy than normal floss! There are two interchangeable attachments, a flosser and a picker, fanbloodytastic!

You can buy a little hummingbird for about £5 on amazon!!

Hair Turban

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I first discovered these on a trip to Paris a few years ago! After many years of putting my hair in a towel that was either too big or too small, and pulling my hair trying to stuff the end of the towel at the back to secure it, all my problems were solved with the toweling hair turban! Put it over your head, twist it up and secure it with the button at the back, simples!!!

Only £5 at Marks and Spencer!! Small tip, like with most towels give it a wash before you use for the first time, that way you get maximum absorption!
